This course will provide specific practical knowledge for proactive injury diagnosis, management and treatment to help speed the recovery of injured workers.
Workshop Objectives : At the conclusion of the seminar you will be able to:
•
Understand the epidemiology of work-related upper extremity disorders.• Understand when and how to determine the work relatedness of upper extremity disorders.
• Develop a working knowledge of the evidence based medicine for those injuries and conditions.
• Identify the risk factor anatomy and pathophysiology of tendinitis and tendinosis of the elbow, wrist and hands and their practical implications.
• Understand complex regional pain syndrome type 1 and effective treatment based on a multidisciplinary team approach.
