Summary
In this one-day workshop, participants will learn how to perform practical ergonomics evaluations and develop simple, cost effective solutions to reduce or control risk factors. Skills developed will focus on material handling, repetitive hand, intensive, and computer workstations tasks. Medical management including early reporting and rapid response techniques will also be covered.
What Will You Accomplish By Attending?
At the completion of this seminar, you will be able to:
� Identify goals, objectives and successes of ergonomics programs. � Explain OSHA standards and NIOSH research pertaining to ergonomics and injury prevention. � Explain the correct elements and sequence of jobsite/task (ergonomics) analysis for identifying risk factors for musculoskeletal disorders. � Identify participants knowledge and understanding of jobsite (ergonomics) analysis and determine their ability to generate a written program. � Explain skills in jobsite (ergonomics) analysis, risk factor management/control and development of written programs for risk reduction. � Explain an appropriate medical management program for musculoskeletal disorders. � Explain selection, development and implementation of educational programs. � Identify and practice good and bad body mechanics and posture. � Demonstrate, practice and review fitness and exercise programs.
