Summary
Investing Strategies for Physicians is an intensive one-day interactive seminar which will give physicians a comprehensive understanding of traditional and nontraditional investment alternatives. Topics that will be covered include: the fundamentals of investing, the advantages and shortcomings of many popular strategies, nontraditional investment alternatives, risk reduction strategies, how to hold and structure your investment portfolios for maximum asset protection and minimum tax liabilities, and how to avoid common mistakes. Physicians will have access to expert independent advice from a financial professional who is not trying to sell them anything. Each physician-attendee will be provided with a detailed seminar manual. There will be ample time set aside for questions and answers. Continental breakfast and lunch with faculty will also be provided. Physician attendees will become far more knowledgeable investors after taking this course. |

Investing
Attendees will learn the fundamentals of investment that are covered in graduate management and finance programs. This will include risk vs. reward, the capital asset pricing model, diversification, APT, hedges, and many other topics. This session will be taught in a NON-technical manner and no knowledge or understanding of advanced mathematics (except addition and multiplication) will be needed. |

Investment Options
Mr. Jarvis will explain the most common investments investors utilize. He will compare and contrast fees, costs, benefits, the investor's rights, potential pitfalls and potentials rewards of each type of investment. Traditional investments covered in this section include: common stock, preferred stock, bonds, tax-free bonds, options, futures, mutual funds, money market funds, real estate investment trusts, real estate, life insurance, certificates of deposit, precious metals and international investments. |

| 1:00-2:00 | How to Avoid the
Three Most Common Investment Mistakes By Physicians
Attendees will learn how violation of the principles discussed in the first session can lead to major disasters for physicians. Particular attention to taxes, excessive risk and poorly-planned investments will be given. Limited partnerships, scams, and other traditionally poor physician investments will be discussed and specific strategies for avoiding all of these mistakes will be provided. |

Nontraditional Investment Options
Less traditional investment options and strategies that avoid common pitfalls will be explained. The advantages and disadvantages of nontraditional life insurance products will be explained. Principal-protected mutual funds and variable annuity investment alternatives will be compared and contrasted. There will also be a detailed discussion of further nontraditional investment alternatives such as captive insurance companies, limited liability companies, private insurance contracts, etc. and how these may provide ancillary financial planning benefits in addition to the desired investment gains. |

Concluding Action Steps
Mr. Jarvis will present and analyze numerous case studies. Each will demonstrate the successful implementation of advanced investment strategies for physicians and their medical practices. Mr. Jarvis will provide a detailed, specific analysis of the risks, costs and benefits in each example. Mr. Jarvis will conclude by working with the attendees to utilize what they have learned and develop a list of bullet-point financial strategies and action steps that they can implement upon their return from the seminar. |
