Summary

 At this unique pre-conference, you will be provided with an in-depth learning experience covering the legal topics that all occupational health professionals must deal with on a daily basis, i.e.,

� ADA � FMLA � Family Rights Act � Medical Records Privacy � Workers' Compensation � Family Pregnancy Disability Leave

 Attendees will participate in frank discussions and problem solving. They will take away practical, cost-effective advice that they can use immediately. Case examples will be provided and worked through by the attendees.

Distinguished Faculty

Attorney Joseph M. Miller is a partner of Seyfarth Shaw, a management labor law firm with offices in Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Washington, DC, Houston, New York, Boston, San Francisco, Sacramento, and Brussels, Belgium. He received his BA from Harvard University, his law degree from UC Berkeley, and his LLM degree at New York University. Attorney Miller is a certified specialist in workers' compensation. He served as Chair of the State Bar Workers' Compensation Law Advisory Commission and was a member of the State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. He lectures frequently on workers' compensation and employment law issues.
Attorney Robert E. Buch is a partner in the national management labor law firm of Seyfarth Shaw. He received his BA from the University of Southern California and his JD from Loyola. Attorney Buch has written and lectured extensively on workers' compensation and employment law issues. Attorney Buch is a certified specialist in workers' compensation law and was Chairperson of the Workers' Compensation Law Advisory Commission and is a member of the Board of Legal Specialization for the State Bar of California.

Attorney Michael W. Battle is a trial lawyer at Seyfarth Shaw, a management labor law firm. He received his BA and JD from the University of Southern California. Attorney Battle represents management in labor and employment law matters. His practice focuses on litigating and counseling employers in employment discrimination, health and safety issues, wage and hour laws, leave issues, and matters involving the public sector.
